Hey Followers, We are in Cambodia!
In no mans land between Thailand and Cambodia there is a few large casinos exploiting the law as gambling is illegal in both countries
wow thats a lot of buckets
Cant see this to well, however this truck was a police vehicle containing a cage of women - we think they were Cambodians getting deported from Thailand?
This little guy and many of his friends were coming up to us asking for 1 Thai baht
The sunset from our bus
Leaving the Cambodian border heading for Siem Reap
So we get to Siem Reap after a 4 hour bus ride and find that this must be one of the darkest cities ever... no street lights - the camera flash was blinding
By day it looks a lot nicer
This is the most popular form of transport - $1usd will get you about anywhere if you haggle right
So we decided to do a cooking class
This was a bargain compared to the ones elsewhere and such fun - the food in Cambodia is really fresh and so goooooood!!!
Hmm this looks safe
This street is called Pub Street - nothing else but pubs..........
Gordon Ramsey
Making fresh curry paste
Shredding Mango for fresh salad
We might as well open a resturant
Fresh spring roles - my favorite thing by far
Amok - Cambodia signature dish - like fried rice except with egg instead of rice
Cambodian Curry
Mango Salad
Now to the market to look around
Hi there, howzitgoing
Just like you would imagine an Asian market to be - very cool
Chickens
Eels
Siem Reap has been amazing - the people are just lovely and everything is so cheap. the food is incredible. Check in for our next post from Angkor Wat and beyond tomorrow! Off to the southern beaches on an overnight sleeper bus tonight!
